2. Website access & Hosting
When you access the website, technically necessary connection data is transmitted to the systems delivering it. This includes, in particular, your IP address, time and requested address, and information sent by your browser, such as browser type and, where applicable, the referring page. This data is used to deliver the website, ensure security and resolve errors. Where we are responsible for this processing, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and reliable operation.
This website is hosted on a Hetzner cloud server in Falkenstein, Germany. Technical connection data is processed to deliver and operate the website. Further information: Hetzner privacy policy.
3. Cookies & Google Analytics
On sailify.at we use Google Analytics 4 only with your consent. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Ireland. We analyse page views, referral sources and campaigns, approximate countries, device information and interest in models and brokerage listings, as well as downloads, model comparisons and contact clicks. A contact click or prepared email draft does not mean that an enquiry has actually been sent.
The Google Analytics script is not loaded before consent or after refusal. Analytics processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google Signals, personalised advertising and Google Ads tags are not enabled in this version.
With consent, Google may store pseudonymous identifiers in cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Their lifetime is configured in the website code to a maximum of six months and may be renewed on subsequent visits. Your selection is stored under sailify-consent-v2 in local browser storage for up to six months to honour your choice. Our custom event tracking does not transmit form entries to Analytics.
You can withdraw consent at any time via . Measurement on this website is then disabled and accessible Analytics cookies are removed. Withdrawal takes effect for the future.
Your IP address is technically transmitted when connecting to Google. Google may process data outside the EU, including in the USA. See Google's data transfer frameworks and privacy policy for further information.
User-level and event-level data retention in Google Analytics is set to two months; retention is not reset by new activity. This setting does not apply to standard aggregated reports. Google information on data retention.
4. Contact by email and phone
When you contact us, we process the contact details, messages and, where relevant, information about your yacht or buying or selling plans that you provide, in order to respond. For enquiries about our services, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps or performance of a contract). For other enquiries, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR may apply; our legitimate interest is the proper handling of your enquiry.
Phone and email links open the corresponding application on your device. A callback request is prepared as an email draft; you decide whether to send it in your email application. Your provider and our email or phone provider are involved in transmission.
5. Call-back and brokerage enquiries
The forms process your name, phone number, preferred time, optional message and, for brokerage, your choice of buying or selling in the open browser. Submitting prepares a draft in your email app. Only when you send it there does your enquiry go to yachting@sailify.at with a copy to info@sailify.at. The website itself sends no message and uploads no images or form data to a server.
6. Images, films & fonts
Images, films and fonts are served locally by the website hosting. No external video players or Google Fonts connections are embedded. Films start only when you choose to play them.
7. Instagram, Google reviews & external sites
Instagram is provided as a normal external link. No Instagram feed, social media tracking or automatic transmission to Instagram through an embedded module is set up. Your browser visits Instagram only when you open the link; the respective provider’s privacy information then applies.
No Google Maps or Google review embed is currently present either. Before adding one, we will review the data flows and any necessary consent, and update this notice.
8. Recipients & retention
For enquiries actually received, access is provided to the people handling them and necessary IT/communications providers. Where required for a purchase, sale or brokerage requested by you, relevant details may be shared with involved sellers, buyers, builders or service providers. Details of handling will be explained in the individual case. Disclosures required by law remain reserved.
Enquiries are retained only as long as needed for handling and necessary follow-up communication. Contractual and business records may be subject to statutory retention duties; accounting records generally must be kept for seven years from the end of the relevant calendar year. Longer retention may apply where required by specific legal obligations or for establishing, exercising or defending claims (Article 6(1)(c) or (f) GDPR). Data is then deleted or anonymised.
9. Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to object: Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object at any time to processing for direct marketing.
Providing contact details is generally voluntary. Without the information needed for a response or contract, we may be unable to handle the relevant matter. The current website code does not carry out automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects, or profiling.
You may lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority. In Austria: Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, Information about complaints.
