After the basic course you sail independently. Manoeuvres, trim, safety – compact, practice-focused and with one of Austria's most experienced sailing instructors.
Course content
Practice-focused. Clearly structured.
The basic course gives you the skills you need to sail independently and safely. Theory only where necessary – the focus is on the boat.
Boat handling & basic manoeuvres
Tacking, jibing, casting off and mooring – you learn the essential manoeuvres smoothly and cleanly.
Trim and wind management
How does the boat respond to wind? How to set the sail optimally? Explained practically, applied directly.
Safety on the water
Man overboard manoeuvres, behaviour in squalls, proper conduct in the Wörthersee sailing area.
Independent sailing
By the end of the basic course you sail the boat yourself – with the confidence that you know what you're doing.
Theory fundamentals
Right of way, weather knowledge, sailing basics – as much theory as needed, as much practice as possible.
