Who is she for?

For hands-on crews who enjoy sail trim and helming on coastal cruises and longer passages. If club racing is part of the plan, Niko can discuss the sail wardrobe with you. Keel and deck equipment need to suit both your waters and your crew.

Niko arranges sea trials in Barcelona or Portorož. He will confirm whether this particular model is available there.

Construction & equipment

Hull & keel

Vacuum-infused sandwich components in the hull, deck and internal structure keep weight low. The keel has a draught of 2.25 m. Sam Manuard is responsible for the hull design.

Sailing & deck

The mainsheet winch is directly accessible from the raised helm position. Removable seat extensions turn the cockpit from a social space into a clear working area for spirited sailing.

Interior

A folding washbasin in the heads, a separate fridge island and an extendable work surface in the L-shaped galley create usable space. A navigation table also serves as a workspace.

For your sailing

The First 36 combines a lightweight hull with a complete cruising interior. We tailor the sail wardrobe and deck equipment to a small crew or racing programme.

Niko

Founder & Yacht Adviser

More than 30 years on the water and four Olympic Games have shaped Niko’s eye for people and equipment, opportunities and decisions at the right moment. As a coach he shares that knowledge; as a yacht adviser he brings it to your decision.

That same curiosity drives him as an entrepreneur. Niko is excited by new ideas, sees possibilities and brings the right people together. He enjoys thinking ahead — with the business sense to turn a vision into something real. He draws on a wide network and the pleasure of getting things moving.

In yacht advisory, he combines this openness with his experience as a sailor: he listens, thinks things through with you and helps you find the boat that fits your plans.

From racing to yacht advice

From the 420 to the 49er, the Moth and yachts, Niko knows sailing from different perspectives. Five major-event medals with Nico Delle-Karth and overall World Cup victories are part of his career. What matters for his advice is the experience behind them: observing carefully, understanding connections and sharing knowledge clearly.
